The Stars are in a continuing process of locating the best players possible to compete in their summer program. The summer schedule is extremely competitive and requires the best possible talent available to enable them to compete.
The Stars goal is to maintain a winning tradition. Established in 1981, the Stars have built a reputation of team chemistry, professionalism, summer enjoyment and being highly competitive.
The Stars are privileged to have their own ball park and practice facility. Developed in 1995 by the Stars, with the contribution of land by the Barona Band of Mission Indians, there is plenty of time for practice and development of players.
Activities:
Games played throughout the season range from 50-65 games based upon finishes in tournaments.
The Stars schedule includes a local league, the Western Baseball Association and out-of-league play against National Baseball Congress (NBC) teams. Example: The Havasu Heat (NBC 2007 National Champions), Santa Maria Indians, Maxim Yankees, Reno Diamonds, Santa Barbara Foresters, the Summer Horizon Series against the Yuba City Gold Sox as well as a major tournament schedule. These include Memorial Day, Best of hte West, NBC Western Regional, Kamloops International BC, Tournament of Champions in San Diego, NBC World series and Grand Forks Canada International.
